Summary:
Our client, a leading multinational biopharmaceutical company, has an exciting opportunity for a Graduate CAD Engineer to join their Capital Projects Group based in Athlone. This role is ideal for a recent graduate with a civil, architectural, structural or CSA background.
Responsibilities:
• Provide CAD and design support across a portfolio of Capital Projects within a highly regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
• Assist in the preparation, coordination, and management of detailed drawings and models for civil, structural and architectural packages.
• Collaborate with the project engineering team from initial concept through to design development and project handover.
• Ensure all drawings comply with current company standards, engineering practices, regulations, and codes.
• Support documentation control, drawing revisions, and record management for all project phases.
• Contribute to site walkdowns, surveys, and clash detection exercises.
• Liaise with contractors, design consultants, and internal stakeholders, ensuring design intent is clearly communicated and understood.
• Assist in ensuring all site activities adhere to the company’s Health & Safety and Environmental requirements.
Qualifications & Experience:
• Degree qualified in Civil, Architectural, Structural Engineering or a CSA-related discipline.
• Proficient in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, or similar); familiarity with BIM is a plus.
• Strong understanding of construction drawings, detailing, and building design principles.
• Knowledge of working in regulated environments (GMP experience is a plus).
