Senior Secuity Architect

My client a global tech company is looking for a Senior Secuity Architect to join their growing Security Engineering team in Dublin. This is a hybrid role working on mission-critical systems used by millions globally.

You'll play a key role in designing and building secure key and certificate management infrastructure, working hands-on with hardware security modules (HSMs), and shaping encryption standards across a high-availability environment.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Architect and maintain secure key and secrets management systems (generation, rotation, revocation)
• Integrate HSMs into large-scale distributed systems to meet high security and performance requirements
• Implement secure design patterns across services, enforcing robust cryptographic policies
• Monitor, fine-tune, and optimise cryptographic operations for speed and resilience
• Collaborate on incident response related to key management systems
• Produce clear and thorough documentation across architecture, processes, and security controls
• Stay current with evolving best practices in applied cryptography and secure systems engineering

What You’ll Bring:

• Strong background in cryptographic algorithms (RSA, ECC, AES, etc.) and security protocols (TLS, SSH)
• Practical experience with HSMs (e.g., PCIe or cloud-based modules)
• Solid programming skills in Java, Golang, C++, Python or similar
• Familiarity with compliance and standards like NIST, FIPS, or PCI-DSS
• A collaborative mindset and passion for creating secure, high-performance systems

Desirable

• Cloud experience (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Secure coding best practices
• Industry certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CISA)
