Cloud Engineer - Galway

2 or 3 days onsite per week


Our client is looking for a Cloud Engineer to join a high-performing R&D team in Galway. You'll play a key role in building our next-generation cloud-native SaaS platform, leveraging cutting-edge technology to drive innovation.

What You’ll Do:

  • Build & Automate – Design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure.
  • Optimize & Secure – Ensure high availability, security, and cost efficiency in AWS.
  • Enable DevOps – Automate deployments using Terraform, Ansible, CI/CD pipelines.
  • Support Developers – Collaborate on microservices, APIs, and containerized workloads.
  • Monitor & Troubleshoot – Use tools like CloudWatch, Prometheus, and ELK to ensure performance.



Tech Stack:

  • Cloud: AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, IAM, API Gateway, VPC)
  • IaC & Automation: Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation
  • Containers & Orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes
  • CI/CD & DevOps: Azure Pipelines, GitHub Actions, Jenkins
  • Security & Compliance: IAM, encryption, logging, monitoring
  • Scripting: Python, Bash, PowerShell



What We’re Looking For:

  • 5+ years in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, or related fields.
  • Strong AWS expertise with hands-on experience in cloud architecture.
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, or similar).
  • Experience with CI/CD pipeline development and automation.
  • Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Solid understanding of cloud networking, security, and monitoring.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for performance optimization.
