Business Development Manager

Our client is a European leading payments company. Due to continued growth in Europe, they are now seeking a Business Development Manager to join their team in Luxembourg on a permanent basis.


Working with both Banking and Fintech portfolios, the Business Development Manager will take responsibility for the following duties:


  • Drive sales generation, manage the sales pipeline, close deals, and deliver revenue results.
  • Analyse the geographical region to evaluate market potential, trends, risks, and opportunities, using internal tools, data insights, meetings, and industry networking.
  • Ensure revenue forecasts remain consistently accurate by adhering to the firm's sales processes, tools, and performance metrics.
  • Work closely with colleagues and key internal stakeholders across departments to support overall business growth.


The Business Development Manager will meet the following criteria:

  • Minimum of 3 years' sales experience within the payment services sector.
  • Solid understanding of cross-border account-to-account payment systems and foreign exchange solutions.
  • Demonstrated success in bypassing gatekeepers to build and influence relationships at the executive (C-suite) level.
  • Deep knowledge of compliance standards and regulatory frameworks within the financial institutions landscape.
  • Comfortable operating within a matrix structure.
  • Experience in achieving results in a performance-based environment.
  • Strong client-focused attitude, with a creative and solution-oriented mindset.
