GitHub Specialist - Devops Junior

Position: Jr/Medior DevOps Engineer – GitHub Specialist

📍 Location: Portugal

🏢 Full time; Full Remote

📜 Type of Contract: Freelance Contract or Permanent Contract preferably

🌍 Mandatory Languages: English

📌 Eligibility: Candidates must possess European nationality or a valid work permit for remote work from within the EU.

Requirements:

• Júnior Devops Experience (1-2 years)
• 2 to 3 years experience with GitHub, GitHub Actions, and GitHub CLI
• Proficiency in Bash scripting and automation
• Solid understanding of GitHub configurations and repository settings
• Comfortable working independently and supporting GitHub adoption in an enterprise setting

Responsibilities

• Provide operational support in the adoption and implementation of GitHub across the organization
• Create, maintain, and optimize GitHub workflows using GitHub Actions
• Write and manage CLI scripts to automate DevOps tasks
• Ensure proper setup and configuration of repositories, permissions, and settings
• Collaborate with teams to standardize GitHub usage and best practices
