Who We Are:


Join our dynamic and forward-thinking team, responsible for developing and managing the Government Paid Leave system. As part of the GovTech Government Digital Transformation team (GDT), we are dedicated to propelling positive change and making a difference. Our team collaborates closely with the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF) to administer leave schemes and claims, aiming to better support parents in building strong families.

[What you will be working on]


As a Software Engineer

1. Collaborate with government agencies to deliver high quality software systems.
2. Work with cross-functional teams which consists of Software Engineers, Quality Engineers, User Experience Designers and Product Owners to deliver technical solutions.
3. Drive adoption of relevant, up-to-date technologies, practices and tools in modern software development lifecycle
4. Participate in Scrum ceremonies, such as Sprint Planning, Review and Retrospective
5. Participate in regular tech-sharing and solutioning sessions.
6. Write code that is clean and maintainable.
7. Practice code reviews
8. Working in highly collaborative teams and building quality environments.
9. Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast paced environment
10. Able to work independently with little supervision or guidance.
    
    
    

[What we are looking for]

1. Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, Information Technology or related disciplines
2. Solid programming fundamentals
3. Familiarity with cloud-based application development and practices such as Extreme Programming, Continuous Integration and Delivery
4. Knowledge and experience in modern technologies such as ReactJS, TypeScript, Java, Kotlin and Spring Boot framework
5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
6. Team player with good communication skills
7. Have the desire to service the public through the use of technology
8. Possess a healthy discontent with the status quo, and an itch to improve things
9. Strong technical aptitude including excellent troubleshooting and communications skills.
10. Experience with integrating with low code system such as Appian will be advantageous.
11. Experience with SHIP-HATS, APEX or Cloud File Transfer (CFT) will be advantageous.
12. Good understanding and working knowledge of Agile projects such as SCRUM and KANBAN
