UI Developer – Azure | React | Authentication

Location: South West London (Hybrid)

Type: Permanent

Salary: Up to £75,000 basic

We’re working with a leading digital transformation consultancy to find an experienced UI Developer with a strong background in Azure-based environments and modern authentication frameworks.

If you’re passionate about building clean, accessible, high-performance applications — and have hands-on experience with Microsoft Authentication libraries (MSAL), Azure B2C, and OpenID — this could be an excellent opportunity.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Developing dynamic, scalable user interfaces using React and Next.js.
• Implementing secure, modern authentication flows via MSAL and Azure B2C.
• Ensuring compliance with Government Digital Service (GDS) standards and AA accessibility requirements.
• Collaborating within Agile teams, contributing to code reviews and technical discussions.
• Supporting performance optimisation across client- and server-side applications.
• Working within a multi-pipeline Azure DevOps environment.
• Building modular, maintainable micro frontends within a broader technology platform.
• Writing and maintaining unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.

What We’re Looking For

• Strong commercial experience in React / Next.js / JavaScript / TypeScript.
• Proven experience integrating MSAL, Azure B2C, and OpenID authentication flows.
• Familiarity with GDS UI standards and WCAG AA accessibility compliance.
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines and micro frontend architecture.
• Competence in modern testing frameworks: Jest, React Testing Library, Enzyme.
• Experience working within Agile development teams.

Desirable:

• Involvement in architectural decisions (e.g. micro frontends, performance scaling).
• Comfortable leading technical discussions or mentoring junior developers.
• Background delivering consultancy or public sector projects.
