We now have an exciting opportunity for a Software Engineer to join Danfoss Power Solutions to strengthen our System Development Tools team. We work with developing a set of tools (PLUS+1 Tools) to support our customers in creating and maintaining control software for their machinery.

This role will be based from our facility in Älmhult, Sweden, with some remote work possible up to 2 days per week.

Job Responsibilities
As Our New Software Engineer, You Will Support The Development With Implementing New Functionality In Our Tool Chain. Your Areas Of Responsibility Will Be To

  • Contribute to the overall functionality of our tools
  • Participate in design and code reviews
  • Develop software solutions using a high-level language IDE
  • Provide maintenance and support for existing tool functions

Ideally, we are looking for candidates with experience in C# to develop Windows applications. But final tasks and responsibilities can be tailored according to the chosen candidate’s experience, potential and interest.

Background & Skills
To thrive in this role, we would expect you to demonstrate:

  • Some experience in software development practices, processes and design
  • Master’s or Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical field
  • It is essential that your English language skills are fluent.
  • Familiarity with C# and or C++
  • Windows application development experience would be beneficial, as would experience in mobile or web application development
