TypeScript Backend Engineer

The client is the world’s first regulated Digital Asset Bank, founded on Swiss and Singapore dual heritage, operating globally. They make digital assets bankable, secure and convenient, empowering our clients to invest in the digital asset economy with complete trust. For the first time with the client's Bank, major currencies and digital assets, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, digital CHF and asset tokens are seamlessly integrated in one account.

Now, we need your help to bring the vision one step closer to reality. We are looking for an experienced Senior engineer to join the team. You will work in one of the core platform teams for the integration of services with external and internal clients and consumers. We will need to develop further services running on AWS clusters and present the APIs in the API development portal.

Required skills:

• 5+ years of experience in Software Engineering
• Strong knowledge of TypeScript+NodeJS (80%) and Java (20%) - optional
• Strong experience with the Quarkus Framework or Spring Boot
• Practical knowledge in development cryptocurrency, blockchain solutions
• Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming principles
• Strong knowledge of RESTful web services and API design
• Understanding of JMM and GC
• Familiarity with build tools such as Maven and Gradle
• Familiarity with containerization tools such as Docker
• Experience with OAuth 2.0, TDD, Kubernetes
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS
• Foundational experience in Apache Kafka (at least some experience; not necessarily an expert)

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop high-quality TypeScript (80%) and Java-based (20%) applications
• Create detailed technical specifications for applications
• Troubleshoot and debug applications
• Ensure applications meet performance and scalability requirements
• Work closely with other teams to ensure the end product meets the client’s needs
• Monitor application performance and provide optimization recommendations
• Stay up to date with the latest technologies and industry trends
