SENIOR BACKEND .NET SOFTWARE ENGINEER

Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Senior .NET Back End Engineer for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Ukraine. They excel at managing complex datasets from diverse sources into a single, cohesive, submission-ready dataset.

This role is ideal for a seasoned developer who thrives in building enterprise-grade web applications using the Microsoft technology stack, particularly .NET Core and Azure. You will be key in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend solutions for modern web applications. You will also be involved in projects from concept to delivery and ongoing support. Requirements

• 10+ years of professional experience in backend development using Microsoft .NET technologies.
• Strong C# and .NET Core knowledge, with substantial experience in building RESTful APIs and enterprise web applications.
• Knowledge of ASP.NET Core Blazor, particularly in building modern, interactive web applications.
• Solid knowledge of Microsoft Azure, including App Services, Azure Functions, Blob Storage, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Hands-on experience building applications from scratch, including greenfield projects and complex system integrations.
• Deep understanding of software design patterns, dependency injection, and SOLID principles.
• Proactive mindset with a passion for collaboration, innovation, and delivering high-quality software.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum) and a proven ability to work in a cross-functional Agile team.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Experience with microservices architecture and containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
• Background in unit testing and TDD/BDD practices using tools like xUnit, NUnit, or SpecFlow.
• Experience integrating with third-party APIs and authentication/authorization mechanisms (OAuth, OpenID Connect).
  
  

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using C# and .NET Core, following modern best practices.
• Architect solutions from the ground up, including database schema design, service layer, and integration patterns.
• Develop scalable, secure, and high-performance applications hosted in Microsoft Azure.
• Collaborate closely with front-end developers, QA engineers, product managers, and DevOps teams to deliver well-integrated solutions.
• Ensure code quality through unit testing, code reviews, and automated testing practices.
• Participate actively in Scrum ceremonies, contributing to sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups.
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance and knowledge sharing across the team.
