AS400 Developer- Fixed-Term Contract (4 to 6 months, with a possible extension)

We are looking for a skilled and motivated individual to join our dynamic team as an AS400 Developer.

This role will focus on developing and maintaining applications on the AS400 platform, ensuring efficient workflow and communication within the team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain applications using RPG, RPGLE, and SQL RPG.
• Design and develop databases on DB2 400.
• Utilize AS400 tools such as SDA, RLU, and PDM.
• Write and debug complex SQL queries and embedded SQL in programs.
• Perform end-to-end unit testing of new and existing applications.
• Debug interactive and batch jobs.
• Interact directly with the client team to understand business requirements and provide solutions.
• Switch between tasks and manage application maintenance effectively.

Mandatory Skills:

• 6-8 years of relevant experience on AS400 IBM i.
• Proficiency in RPG, RPGLE, and SQL RPG.
• Experience with AS400 tools (SDA, RLU, PDM).
• Strong understanding of database design on DB2 400.
• Knowledge of control language (CL 400, CLLE).
• Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries.
• Experience with embedded SQL and interactive sessions.

Desirable:

• Knowledge of change management tools like Aldon Turnover.
• Understanding of ILE concepts, MQs, and Web Services.
• Experience with JDA and the retail domain.
