Business Analyst

You will join our IT Project and Demand office Team which forms a part of the Business and Information Technology department in Helsinki or Stockholm. This team focuses on driving the delivery of successful IT projects and managing varied business demands / initiatives working in close collaborations with HR, Sales, Marketing, Infosec, Customer Operations and other corporate functions.

The main purpose of a Business Analyst is to translate demands into requirements for change and delivery and identify areas for improvement in business processes and systems, and to recommend solutions to help achieve RELEX’s goals. This role works closely with various stakeholders, product managers, business owners, project managers, business architects, enterprise architects, solution architects, application architects, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure that business needs are analyzed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of stakeholders.

What you’ll be doing:

• Collaborating with stakeholders to understand their business needs and requirements.
• Analyzing business processes, information and data needs and systems to identify areas for improvement.
• Documenting business requirements and creating detailed functional specifications including NFRs, and particularly all regulatory requirements
• Communicating requirements and specifications to developers, designers, and other stakeholders.
• Developing and implementing solutions to improve business processes and systems.
• Conducting user acceptance testing and ensuring that solutions meet the needs of end-users.
• Monitoring and analyzing the performance of business processes and systems over time.
• Staying up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in business analysis.
  
  

What we’re looking for:

• A bachelor’s degree in business, IT or related fields and skills in tools like Excel and PowerBI.
• Ability to capture business needs from multiple domains (Finance, Marketing, HR, IT, etc.)
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills to extract underlying pain points
• Experience in demand management frameworks and prioritization criteria
• Expertise in writing Business Requirements Documents (BRD) and Functional Specifications
• Strong analytical skills to break down business needs into actionable, structured requirements
• Experience of creating user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria
• Ability to create and analyze "As-Is" vs. "To-Be" process models
• Familiarity with enterprise systems (ERP, CRM, HRIS, ITSM, etc.)
• Ability to evaluate tool capabilities against business requirements
• Understanding of API integrations, data flows, and reporting needs
• Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Strong facilitation skills for workshops and requirement-gathering sessions
• Knowledge of IT governance and change management processes
• Ability to work with IT teams and vendors for solution feasibility analysis
• Strong critical thinking to identify scalable solutions vs. quick fixes
• Knowledge of cost-benefit analysis methodologies
