Intern - IT Process

Job Summary & Purpose:
The IT Process Intern will support the IT Infrastructure team in documenting, reviewing, and enhancing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and operational processes. This role requires a foundational understanding of IT infrastructure components such as networks, servers, data centers, end-user systems, and security protocols. The intern will work closely with IT subject matter experts to ensure the documentation reflects best practices, compliance, and operational accuracy. This position provides practical exposure to enterprise IT environments and process standardization.

Key Performance Areas (KPAs) & Principal Accountabilities:

• Review and update existing IT SOPs to align with current operational procedures and ITIL standards.
  
• Collaborate with infrastructure and support teams to gather information on tools, systems, and practices.
  
• Participate in IT team meetings and site visits (if applicable) to understand technical workflows.
  
• Prepare flowcharts, process maps, and other visual aids to enhance SOP readability.
  
• Maintain organized records of all documentation changes and feedback versions
  
• Ensure documentation adheres to internal formatting guidelines and is accessible in shared repositories.
  
  
  
  

RequirementsExperience (Years & Field): 0 - 6 months (Fresher or with prior IT internship experience)

Educational Qualification : Bachelor’s degree/Engineering in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Professional Certifications : Basic understanding of ITIL or CompTIA A+/Network+ preferred
Advanced MS Office (especially Word & Visio) and documentation tools (mandatory)

Skills & Abilities
• Strong written and spoken English communication skills
• Basic understanding of IT Infrastructure components (e.g., LAN/WAN, servers, VPN, hardware)
• Ability to translate technical content into easy-to-understand documents
• Strong attention to detail and document formatting
• Ability to work independently and coordinate with cross-functional teams
• Familiarity with workflow or ticketing tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira) is a plus

Duration: 3 months
Preferably with Relative visa sponsorship only
