Senior Solution Architect

My name is Paulius Zdanavičius, and I lead Digital Portals and Platforms team at Telia. We're on the lookout for a Senior Solution Architect to join our team. You'll play a key role in shaping and aligning common solution designs across multiple markets, ensuring both local and global architectural consistency. You will work closely with country-specific architects to co-design integration patterns that meet local needs while remaining aligned with the company’s enterprise architecture standards.

This is a role that requires strategic thinking, a high level of ownership, and mature communication. You won’t just design systems – you’ll help orchestrate collaboration, bring clarity to complexity, elevate architectural maturity across the board and bridge the gap between business and development teams.

As a Senior Solution Architect you will:

• Collaborate with local architects across different markets to align solutions with both local requirements and global enterprise architecture guidelines.
• Design and maintain architectural integration patterns.
• Ensure architecture is well-documented, reusable, and consistent across markets.
• Proactively identify and address architectural risks or inefficiencies.
• Balance long-term vision with short-term deliverables while maintaining architectural integrity.
• Drive architectural maturity and governance practices within cross-functional teams.
• Serve as a key point of contact for translating business needs into scalable and sustainable architecture.
• Support and mentor other architects and engineering teams in applying best practices and articulating architectural decisions.
  
  

What we're looking for:

• Big-picture thinking
• Proven experience in solution architecture, preferably in international or multi-market environments.
• Strong understanding of modern architectural principles (e.g. microservices, event-driven architecture, APIs)
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills – able to communicate complex technical ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to align multiple stakeholders around a shared architectural vision.
• Hands-on experience with architectural documentation and modeling tools.
• Deep knowledge of integration patterns and middleware solutions.
• Ability to evaluate and apply enterprise guidelines, while balancing local flexibility.
• Strategic thinker with a pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
• Proven expertise in Agile/DevOps methodologies and principles.
• Prior experience in the Telecommunications industry and familiarity with TMF standards is bonus.

Monthly salary range for this position: 5400 – 8200 Eur gross plus annual bonuses which are depending on your competencies and your and Telia results.
