About The Role
Role will be located in our Tampa, HQ
We Are Looking For Someone To
- Monitor networks and systems for security breaches, incidents, and vulnerabilities.
- Triage and response of security alerts using various tools such as SIEM, EDR, CNAAP, IDS/IPS
- Conduct forensic analysis and investigations in case of a security breach.
- Conduct risk, security, and vulnerability assessments to identify potential threats.
- Support compliance program through third-party and internal risk assessments, monitoring controls in the GRC platform
- Assist in incident response planning and execution, including tabletop exercises, simulations and playbooks.
- Design and present threat research reports to technology leadership on current and emergent threats.
- Assist in the development and implementation of security policies, procedures, and controls.
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2+ years of experience in cybersecurity or IT security-related roles.
- Experience with security tools such as Splunk, Google Chronicle, Nessus, Metasploit, and similar technologies.
- Strong understanding of network security fundamentals across firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, endpoint protection, and public cloud.
- Strong understanding of performing investigations on Windows, MacOS, Unix, as well as how these systems work in general.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
- Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Bash) for automation and analysis.
- Experience in cloud security and performing incident response in the cloud, primarily AWS
- Knowledge of threat intelligence and threat hunting methodologies.
- Understanding of incident response/attack frameworks such as ISO 27035, NIST Incident Response, SANS Incident Response, MITRE ATT&CK, Cyber Kill Chain.
- Experience working in a SOC (Security Operations Center) environment.
- Knowledge of security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls, PCI DSS 4.0, SOC 2).
- Certifications such as Security+, CEH, GSEC, GSOC are a plus.
