We are seeking an experienced Data Protection Officer (DPO) to join our dynamic Legal team. Our team provides strategic legal guidance across all business areas and EEA jurisdictions, collaborating closely with internal stakeholders to drive business growth in a fast-paced, innovative environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for data protection inquiries from internal teams and external authorities.
  • Ensure compliance with GDPR, national data protection laws, and industry standards.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain data protection policies, procedures, and customer-facing documentation.
  • Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate data protection risks.
  • Provide legal and data protection guidance for projects, product launches, and business initiatives, delivering practical, compliant solutions.
  • Monitor and manage data breaches, ensuring timely reporting and resolution in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Design and deliver training programs to enhance employee awareness of data protection and privacy best practices.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of data processing activities to ensure transparency and compliance.
  • Review, draft, and negotiate legal documents related to data protection and other legal matters.


What We’re Looking For

  • Proven Experience: Significant experience as a Data Protection Officer or in a similar role, ideally gained at a law firm and/or in-house.
  • Expertise: In-depth knowledge of GDPR, national data protection laws, and industry best practices.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable thriving in a fast-paced, multicultural, growth-stage environment while working independently.
  • Tech-Savvy: Confident in leveraging technology to enhance compliance and data protection processes.


Nice-to-Haves

  • Bar qualification and/or relevant certifications (e.g., CIPP/E, CIPM).
  • Prior in-house experience in a fintech, financial services, or similarly regulated industry.
  • Passion for cryptocurrencies, Web3, or blockchain technology, with professional or personal experience in these areas.
