Your role
We are looking for a proactive and product-oriented Mid/Senior Backend Developer to play a significant role in digitizing and automating our operational processes related to manufacturing, warehousing, and fulfillment.
Your work will directly impact our printing processes, order fulfillment automation, inventory management, and other key areas. You will be joining a small, collaborative development team with Backend, Frontend developers and Product owner.
What will you do?
- Develop and maintain robust and scalable backend APIs using PHP (Symfony/Laravel).
- Design and implement efficient database schemas and optimize queries for performance in PostgreSQL.
- Optimize application performance for efficient resource utilization.
- Optimize database performance for high-volume order processing.
- Automate manual processes related to manufacturing, warehousing, and fulfillment, such as digitizing label printing workflows and inventory tracking.
- Write unit tests and integration tests to ensure code quality.
- Participate in code reviews to maintain high standards.
- Utilize Git for version control and contribute to our CI/CD pipeline.
- Deliver software that has a high impact on organizational operational processes.
What are we looking for?
- Experience: 4+ years of experience with a primary focus on PHP (Symfony/Laravel), with potential exposure to JavaScript (Node.js) or other backend technologies as needed.
- Backend Expertise: Strong experience with backend frameworks such as Symfony, Laravel, or Yii, and a solid understanding of programming, design patterns, and web protocols.
- Databases: Advanced knowledge of PostgreSQL and other RDBMS engines. Experience with ORM libraries, query optimization, and performance tuning. Experience in designing and implementing efficient database schemas.
- Debugging and Optimization: Strong debugging, optimization, and performance-tuning skills.
- Testing: Experience with writing unit tests and integration tests.
- Version Control: Proficient with Git.
- Language: Strong English skills, both verbal and written.
- Startup Mindset: Adaptable, proactive, and comfortable with occasional ambiguity.
- Operational Process Digitization: Experience in automating and digitizing manual processes, such as inventory management and order fulfillment workflows is a plus.
- Tools: Familiarity with Docker and CI/CD pipelines is a plus.
