Informatics Engineer

📍 Location: Koper, Slovenia | 🕐 Type: Full-time | 🎓 Education: Minimum Level VI (Bachelor's degree or higher)

Are you excited about building IT systems - setting up the basic infrastructure and then maintaining and upgrading it over time?

We are looking for an Informatics Engineer who is ready to set up, maintain, and expand our IT infrastructure, and leave their mark from the very beginning.

• Receive and resolve technical issues reported by users of the company's computer systems
• Assemble computers and configure operating systems
• Create and maintain records and manage software licenses (Office 365, etc.)
• Create and administer user accounts
• Assign and maintain internal network access permissions
• Maintain, configure, and expand network infrastructure
• Ensure compliance with security standards across the entire network and manage users' personal passwords
• Create and maintain records of assigned computers and the employees using them
• Develop and implement maintenance, replacement, and procurement strategies for computers, including tracking usage and disposal of all IT-related assets and minor equipment
• Create and maintain records of assigned mobile phones, telephone numbers, VPN numbers, and the individuals using them
• Procure new mobile phones for employees in accordance with management decisions and the service provider contract
• Maintain, adjust settings, and add users to the telephone system
• Manage printers, toner supplies, replacement of used printers, and monitor printing costs for leased printers
• Train and support employees in the use of MS Office programs
• Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety and environmental protection regulations

• Minimum Level VI education (Bachelor's degree or higher) in Informatics, Computer Science, or a related field
• Strong skills in setting up IT systems from the ground up
• Experience with network management, cybersecurity, and systems integration
• Familiarity with Microsoft environments (Office 365, Windows Server)
• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to work independently
• Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude
• Team spirit and willingness to support colleagues in technical matters

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Knowledge of automation tools and scripting
• Background in system architecture or database administration
