We are seeking a Staff Frontend Engineer to join our team and drive the development of high-quality, scalable, and user-centric web applications. As a senior technical leader, you will play a crucial role in shaping the frontend architecture, influencing best practices, and mentoring engineers to deliver exceptional user experiences.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including design, product, and backend engineering, to build intuitive and performant applications. Your expertise in modern frontend technologies, frameworks, and performance optimization will help us scale our platform while maintaining a seamless and engaging user experience.

Your Role in Action

  • Architect, design, and develop scalable and high-performance frontend applications with a focus on maintainability and user experience.
  • Drive product improvements by influencing frontend architecture, design patterns, and component frameworks to enhance performance, accessibility, and developer experience.
  • Lead by example in implementing best practices for frontend development, including code quality, testing, and performance optimization.
  • Align with engineering-wide initiatives by ensuring frontend implementations follow company-wide architectural principles, security guidelines, and technical direction.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, backend engineering, and other stakeholders to create seamless, high-impact user experiences.
  • Mentor and guide engineers by sharing knowledge, conducting code reviews, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.

Your Skills

  • Deep understanding of semantic HTML and modern CSS, including pre-processors like SASS or LESS.
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including ES6+ features and familiarity with TypeScript for large projects.
  • Extensive experience with modern JavaScript frameworks/libraries like React, Angular, Vue.js, and Webpack 5. In-depth knowledge of React concepts such as hooks, context, and performance optimizations. Experience with state management libraries like Redux, Recoil, or Zustand.
  • Experience with frontend architecture, including microfrontend implementations, modular UI architectures, and component-driven design.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and knowledge of asynchronous programming, including Promises, async/await, and streaming techniques. Ability to work with mocks and mock APIs for local development and testing.
  • Experience in creating microfrontends or modular, dynamic UI architectures, ensuring independent deployment and seamless integration across teams.
  • Experience with browser data storage, including local storage, session storage, IndexedDB, and caching strategies for optimized performance.
  • Experience with design systems like Material UI, Bootstrap, or similar component libraries.
  • Experience in creating responsive designs that work across a wide range of devices and screen sizes.
  • Experience in frontend unit testing with frameworks like Jest, Karma, and end-to-end testing with Cypress or Playwright.
  • Understanding of browser differences and experience with tools for cross-browser testing such as BrowserStack or Sauce Labs.
  • Techniques for optimizing frontend performance, including lazy loading, code splitting, tree shaking, leveraging CDNs, and image optimization.
  • Strong understanding of web accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) and best practices to ensure inclusive user experiences.

We’d Particularly Love It If You Have

  • Experience delivering production SaaS on Azure
  • Advanced degree in Computer Science
  • Experience building AI-powered products that utilize Natural Language Processing or Machine Learning
  • Knowledge of Linux
  • Experience with CI/CD best practices
  • Experience with distributed processing technologies such as Spark
  • Familiar with Containerization and Kubernetes best-practices
  • Knowledge of NoSQL database systems such as MongoDB, Redis, Elasticsearch
  • Understanding of backend technologies (.Net, Node.js, Python, etc.) to facilitate better collaboration with backend teams.
  • Experience or strong understanding of UI/UX principles can be an additional advantage.
  • Familiarity with AI-driven solutions in UI/UX, such as AI-assisted user interactions, personalization, generative design tools, or adaptive interfaces.
  • AI Integration in frontend, including hands-on experience integrating chatbots, recommendation systems, or computer vision models into UI/UX workflows.

Relativity is committed to competitive, fair, and equitable compensation practices.

This position is eligible for total compensation which includes a competitive base salary, an annual performance bonus, and long-term incentives.

The expected salary range for this role is between following values:

300 000 and 450 000PLN

The final offered salary will be based on several factors, including but not limited to the candidate's depth of experience, skill set, qualifications, and internal pay equity. Hiring at the top end of the range would not be typical, to allow for future meaningful salary growth in this position.
