Job Title: Interface Coordinator
Location: Doha, Qatar
Work Schedule: 5 days, 8 hours per day
Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Interface Coordinator to manage and coordinate the technical, commercial, and execution interfaces on large-scale oil and gas projects. The successful candidate will oversee the coordination of various project stakeholders, ensuring that all interface issues are identified early, tracked, and closed out systematically. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals with substantial experience in large-scale oil and gas projects, both onshore and offshore.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate all project interfaces between disciplines, contractors, vendors, and third parties.
- Develop and maintain the Interface Management Plan (IMP) and Interface Register (IR).
- Identify and track interface issues, ensuring they are resolved systematically.
- Facilitate regular coordination meetings and workshops across project stakeholders.
- Collaborate with engineering, construction, procurement, and operations teams to align interface requirements.
- Support the risk management process by identifying interface risks and contributing to mitigation strategies.
- Monitor contractor performance and ensure timely delivery of interface deliverables.
- Prepare regular interface reports for project leadership and escalate critical interface issues when needed.
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, safety, and quality requirements.
- Promote a collaborative, solution-oriented environment among multi-disciplinary teams.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in oil and gas projects (upstream, midstream, or downstream).
- Strong understanding of engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) project workflows.
- Demonstrated experience in coordinating complex multi-discipline interfaces on major capital projects.
- Proficiency with interface management tools and project management software (e.g., PIMS, ProCoSys, or similar).
- Excellent organisational, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure, multicultural environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience with international oil companies (IOCs) or large EPC contractors.
- Offshore project interface experience (FPSO, platforms, subsea).
- Professional certification (e.g., PMP, APM) is a plus.
