Client Overview:

Our client is the leading retail chain in Uzbekistan, with about a million regular customers and more than 125 stores in 11 regions. The company operates supermarkets, neighborhood stores, convenience stores, a wholesale store, and an online supermarket. The client also runs two warehouses (dry and temperature-controlled) and a fruits/vegetables hub.

Project Objectives:

We aim to deploy a robust, flexible, and scalable data warehouse, BI platform, analytics layer, data processing tools (e.g., Python workbooks), and integrations with clients' IT systems. This project will enhance data governance practices and support significant company growth, laying the groundwork for advanced AI/ML solutions.

Responsibilities:

Design, build, and maintain cloud-based infrastructure solutions, primarily on AWS.
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate the deployment process, continuous integration, and testing.
Implement and oversee monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure system reliability and performance.
Perform security checks and vulnerability scans, applying best security practices.
Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure smooth integration and delivery of new features.
Manage the configuration and maintenance of system and application software.
Optimize system performance and troubleshoot issues across the infrastructure.
Regular system health checks and preventive maintenance are provided to ensure high availability and fault tolerance.
Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for infrastructure and operational processes.
Mentor junior DevOps engineers and provide technical guidance.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Proven experience (6+ years) as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role.
Proficiency with AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, VPC, RDS, CloudFormation, Lambda).
Expertise in configuring, deploying, and managing data AWS services like MWAA, Kinesis, and related infrastructure.
Strong experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or CircleCI.
Extensive knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
Expertise in infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
Strong scripting skills in languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK Stack.
Excellent understanding of network protocols, security, and performance optimization.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice to Have:

Certification in AWS (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect).
Experience with other cloud platforms like Azure or GCP.
Familiarity with SAP BW/4HANA, and SAP S/4HANA.
Knowledge of database management and optimization.
Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
