WHAT WE DO

We are set up to provide our customers with end-to-end support in the process of developing software solutions:

• Business need analysis, design of functional and non-functional requirements, system analysis, support for business transformation and IT/business consultancy;
• User interface and experience design and development for mobile and desktop applications;
• Front and back-end development in a wide range of technologies: Java, .Net, Ruby, GoLang, Oracle, Python.
• Complete Data Warehouse solutions from architecture, design and implementation using mainly Vertica, Oracle and Microsoft platforms.
• Avalanche has been the central counterparty for multiple major banking projects in the Scandinavia and Baltics, in areas such as lending automation, regulatory reporting and calculations, integrations, governance, risk and compliance, Basel II/III, Stress Testing, AML/KYC.

DO YOU HAVE...

💥 At least 4+ years of experience with OpenEdge RDBMS (11 and 12);

💥 Deep understanding of Progress OpenEdge RDBMS architecture;

💥 Excellent knowledge of installation, configuration, and upgrade of OpenEdge environments;

💥 Hands on experience with implementation of reliable backup and recovery strategies;

💥 Have great scripting skills for task automation (e.g., Bash, PowerShell, Python);

💥 Job scheduling and automation with tools like cron or airflow.

ARE YOU WILLING TO...

✨ Be responsible for the core administration, maintenance, and performance of our OpenEdge RDBMS environments (versions 11 and 12);

✨ Ensure database reliability through robust backup and recovery strategies, proactively monitoring and tuning performance, implementing security and access controls;

✨ Play a key role in maintaining high availability and supporting disaster recovery initiatives;

✨ Collaborate closely with development teams to resolve database-related issues;

✨ Document technical designs, processes, and procedures.
