Software Engineer II (12-Month Contract + Renewals - €482/day)

Location: Dublin (flexible working)

Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join their team on a 12-month contract, with a pay rate of €482/day and the potential for extension. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on high-performance, high-volume Java applications, collaborate with talented engineers, and contribute to an innovative and forward-thinking company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop high-performance, high-volume Java applications.
• Work closely with technical leads, business analysts, and system analysts to define features and user stories.
• Provide production support and act as the point-of-contact for resolving incidents and problem tickets.
• Lead or contribute to medium-sized projects, managing initiatives or supervising small teams.
• Design and develop complete software solutions, system interfaces, and documentation.
• Assist in vendor assessments and provide technical support to junior team members.
• Ensure the continued health and scalability of products through creative problem-solving techniques.

What We're Looking For:

• At least 5 years of experience in a similar role.
• Strong Java experience with exposure to design and architecture.
• Proficiency in Spring Frameworks and Agile methodologies (SAFe).
• Experience with Web Services (REST/SOAP), Tomcat, multi-threading, Maven, and SQL.
• Familiarity with cloud development (PCF, Azure) and integrating vendor/open-source tools.
• Expertise in Eclipse or IntelliJ for code deployment and execution.
• Strong knowledge of secure coding practices and relational databases (Oracle, Postgres).
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
