Business Analyst – Contract, Dublin City

Business Analyst Role and Responsibilities:

Our client is seeking an experienced Business Analyst with a strong consultancy background to join their team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the transport industry, supporting business improvement initiatives, driving operational efficiency, and delivering cost reduction, simplification, and automation strategies.

What’s involved:

• Elicit and analyse requirements through workshops, interviews, and business process reviews.
• Produce cost-benefit analyses for new initiatives and gather estimates.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to produce Business Requirements Documents, Use Cases, and Process Designs.
• Navigate ambiguity, define detailed requirements, and maintain quality standards as prescribed by the PMO.
• Lead discovery and business process re-engineering workshops.

What you need:

• Strong consultancy background within the transport industry (Essential).
• Experience with EAM systems such as SAP, Maximo, Oracle, or Infor.
• Expertise in stakeholder management, storyboarding, BPMN process flow design, and SIPOC documentation.
• Skilled in using Visio, ARIS, Adobe, Figma, and mind-mapping tools.
• Deep understanding of Agile and Waterfall methodologies, BDD, TDD, and UX/UI best practices.
• Experienced in RFQ/RFP compilation and evaluation.
• Degree/diploma in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Six Sigma/Lean Practitioner certification, Business Analysis accreditation, or equivalent.
• Institute of Asset Management Diploma or similar.
