Firmware Developer

At Multivision, we seek a highly motivated Firmware Developer to join our team focused on developing and enhancing Customer Premises Equipment (CPE). This role involves researching and defining a modern software architecture for our CPE product line, implementing new functionalities, and resolving issues within existing systems. You will work closely with Software Development Kits (SDKs) provided by SoC suppliers, customizing and integrating features as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Designing, developing, and maintaining software and firmware for CPE equipment;
• Conducting in-depth analysis and research to define and implement a new software architecture for CPE products;
• Defining technical requirements and developing new functionalities in alignment with product needs;
• Diagnosing and fixing bugs and other issues identified during the development and testing phases;
• Customizing and integrating new features from SoC suppliers into SDKs;
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation and delivery;
• Using development tools and methodologies, including version control, continuous integration, and code quality monitoring tools.

Skills and Knowledge:

• BSc in Computer Engineering or similar;
• Proficient in C / C++;
• Scripting experience in Python and Shell;
• Knowledge of Microservices Architecture;
• Solid understanding of Network Security concepts;
• Familiarity with network protocols including TCP/IP (IPv4/IPv6), DHCP, and DNS;
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines using GitLab;
• Proficient in using GitLab Issues, Subversion (SVN), and Jira for project management;
• Experience with SonarQube for code quality assurance;
• Knowledge of iptables and firewall configuration.
