SENIOR IOS ENGINEER WITH ANDROID

Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Senior iOS Engineer with Android experience for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Romania. Our client is a leading online resale platform, headquartered in California, specializing in secondhand apparel, shoes, and accessories. The company has become one of the world’s largest managed marketplaces for apparel resale, leveraging technology and data science to transform how people buy and sell secondhand fashion. The proprietary operating platform is the foundation for the managed marketplace and consists of distributed processing infrastructure, proprietary software and systems, and data science expertise. The company has processed over 172 million unique secondhand items from 55,000 brands across 100 categories. They have a new ventures team of engineers working to revolutionize the clothing industry towards a more circular fashion future. Recent examples include the Resale-as-a-service partnership program for fashion brands, the marketplace partnership program for business sellers, the wholesale consignment partnership program, and other business programs.

The mobile apps are a critical component of the seamless resale platform, connecting users to high-quality, sustainable fashion options. They are seeking a skilled mobile engineer who will lead the design and development of the flagship mobile applications for both iOS and Android. You will be a key player in driving innovation, exploring ways to integrate modern technologies, including AI enhancements, to elevate user engagement and engineering productivity. You will collaborate with a diverse team of product designers, managers, and engineers dedicated to revolutionizing the resale industry.

Overlap till 7-8 PM Romanian time. Project duration – 5 months with the possibility of extension.

Requirements

• 5+ years of production-level mobile software engineering experience.
• Strong understanding of developing native mobile applications for iOS (Swift/Objective-C) primarily and Android (Kotlin/Java) secondarily.
• Strong knowledge of mobile design patterns, performance optimization, and distributed systems.
• Familiarity with modern mobile analytics and backend integration (REST and GraphQL) for real-time functionality.
• Experience integrating AI/ML features into mobile applications or using data-driven insights to improve user engagement.
• Strong understanding of adopting AI tools in the mobile software engineering lifecycle.
• Experience with continuous integration, test automation, and monitoring.
• Ability to work in a cross-functional team and strong product comprehension.

• Set realistic timelines with effective communication to technical/business stakeholders.
