Back-End Developer (Remote)

Now we are expanding the team and want to meet with new colleagues. There are a few details that we care about.

Most important

• 5+ years of solid backend development experience with PHP (Laravel) and Node.js
• Experience in designing and developing distributed systems and scalable architectures
• Strong hands-on experience with Redis, PostgreSQL (especially PostGIS), and Google Cloud Platform services
• Hands-on experience with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, cloud-native infrastructures like VMs and managed instance groups
• Experience building and maintaining GraphQL APIs
• Deep understanding of HTTP protocols, cookies/sessions, APIs, fingerprinting, and bot protection solutions
• Ability to develop and maintain distributed web crawling services and API services
• Experience with queue systems and job management (especially with Laravel Horizon)
• Ability to design and operate systems that handle millions of listings with low latency and high reliability
• Ability to debug complex systems and resolve crawling, scaling, or performance issues
• Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
• Solid communication skills, especially to coordinate with internal teams and external providers

Nice to have

• Python experience for scripting and tooling
• Experience with browser-based scraping technologies like Puppeteer Cluster or Playwright
• Experience with real estate data or geospatial technologies
• Experience setting up WireGuard VPNs and securing network infrastructure
• Knowledge of container orchestration and other cloud platforms
• Experience working remotely
• Experience with continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) environment
• Experience with git branching, merging, and deployments
