Blockchain Developer

Location: Warsaw, Poland

Contract: 6 Months (with possible extension)

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Blockchain Developer with strong expertise in cryptocurrency and distributed ledger technologies. The ideal candidate will have a solid backend development background and experience working on scalable, high-performing systems. This is a 6-month contract role based in Warsaw, with potential for extension based on project needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain blockchain-based applications and services.
• Build scalable and high-performing distributed systems, including APIs, orchestration layers, third-party integrations, monitoring, and alerting solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features and enhancements.
• Ensure the security and performance of software systems by adhering to the Secure Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes.
• Develop and integrate with both public and permissioned blockchain technologies (Bitcoin, Ethereum, Hyperledger, etc.).
• Contribute to the development of DeFi (Decentralized Finance) applications, private key management solutions, and security protocols.
• Maintain high standards of code quality through unit testing, code reviews, and performance testing.
• Stay current with new blockchain and cryptocurrency trends and technologies to solve complex technical problems.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of relevant work experience, or Master’s degree with 4+ years of experience.
• Strong backend programming experience using Java, JavaScript, and NodeJS.
• Proven experience in building scalable, distributed systems and backend infrastructures.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, version control systems (e.g., Git), unit testing, and performance testing.
• Hands-on experience with blockchain platforms (public and permissioned), DeFi apps, private key custody, distributed ledgers like Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Hyperledger.
• Full-stack development experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with payment systems, financial services compliance, payment ecosystems, and payment processing flows.
• Highly motivated, quick learner, and adaptable to new technologies and challenges.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills; able to effectively communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences.
