Chief Executive Officer

Confidential
United Arab Emirates · Contract · Executive

As the Senior Executive Officer (SEO) of one of the three principal subsidiaries within a financial infrastructure group, you will be the driving force behind the subsidiary’s private financing platform, advisory services, and collective investment fund activities. Reporting directly to the Group Chief Executive Officer, the SEO bears full accountability for commercial growth, operational excellence, and strategic alignment.

You will craft and execute the subsidiary’s strategic roadmap—yet all major business plans, forecasts, and proposals must be presented for approval at the Group level. By collaborating closely with the Group CEO and peers leading the other two subsidiaries, the SEO ensures a cohesive approach that furthers overall Group objectives, nurtures synergies across the organization, and upholds best-in-class governance practices.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Group Alignment

  • Subsidiary Strategy: Devise and refine a robust business strategy for the subsidiary’s private financing, advisory, and fund management operations, consistent with the Group’s overarching vision.
  • Business Plan Approval: Prepare and present detailed business plans, budgets, and performance forecasts to the Group CEO for validation and alignment with Group goals.
  • Cross-Subsidiary Synergy: Collaborate with senior executives from the other subsidiaries to identify shared opportunities, encourage knowledge exchange, and standardize best practices.

Commercial Performance & Targets

  • Revenue Generation: Set and pursue ambitious commercial targets; monitor key performance metrics such as revenue, margins, and market share to ensure sustainable growth.
  • Product & Service Offerings: Oversee the expansion and diversification of financing solutions, advisory services, and collective investment vehicles that drive profitability and client satisfaction.
  • Profit & Loss Ownership: Exercise end-to-end accountability for the subsidiary’s financial results, ensuring transparency, timely reporting, and delivery of agreed-upon targets.

Operational Excellence & Governance

  • Process & Infrastructure: Implement advanced operational frameworks, technologies, and processes to ensure reliable and efficient service delivery across private financing and advisory services.
  • Risk & Compliance: Sustain a proactive compliance culture, partnering with internal and external stakeholders to meet or exceed regulatory requirements and mitigate operational risks.
  • Continuous Improvement: Promote a culture of innovation and ongoing process optimization that enhances client experience and strengthens competitive advantage.

People Leadership & Culture

  • Executive Team Management: Recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing leadership cadre; foster an environment of accountability, inclusivity, and excellence.
  • Performance Management: Set measurable targets for departmental heads and senior managers, conducting systematic performance reviews and providing coaching or corrective guidance as needed.
  • Organizational Culture: Collaborate with the Group’s HR function to nurture a culture that prioritizes integrity, learning, and employee well-being.

Stakeholder Management & External Relations

  • Client & Partner Relationships: Ensure the subsidiary delivers a client-centric value proposition, maintaining superior relationships with key customers, partners, and service providers.
  • Regulatory Engagement: Act as the principal representative for the subsidiary in discussions with regulatory authorities; ensure timely submissions and maintain commendable compliance records.
  • Public Representation: Serve as a prominent ambassador of the subsidiary—and the wider Group—by participating in industry forums, investor conferences, and relevant media engagements.

Reporting & Accountability

  • Group Reporting: Provide the Group with clear, data-driven updates on strategic initiatives, commercial results, and operational milestones.
  • Corrective Measures: Identify and execute corrective actions promptly should the subsidiary underperform against established objectives or encounter compliance issues.
  • Transparency & Integrity: Uphold the highest standards of corporate governance, ensuring reporting accuracy and ethical conduct at all organizational levels.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related discipline; advanced degrees (MBA/EMBA) are highly valued.
  • Executive Leadership: 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in financial services (e.g., investment banking, private equity, asset management), with at least 5 years at a senior executive level.
  • Strategic & Commercial Acumen: Proven record of shaping strategies that drive tangible revenue growth, market expansion, and sustainable profitability.
  • Regulatory Proficiency: Strong familiarity with financial regulations, corporate governance standards, and best practices for risk mitigation in the private financing and advisory domains.
  • Board & C-Suite Exposure: Demonstrated success engaging with Boards and senior stakeholders, presenting complex plans and securing alignment on critical decisions.

Skills & Competencies

  • Visionary Mindset: Capable of formulating forward-thinking strategies that anticipate market trends and outmaneuver competition.
  • Decisive Execution: Skilled at making data-informed decisions swiftly, balancing strategic planning with operational agility.
  • Interpersonal Influence: Demonstrates superior communication and negotiation skills, inspiring confidence and forging consensus across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Analytical & Results-Oriented: Leverages data-driven insights to streamline operations, manage risk, and optimize resource allocation.
