Network Engineer

Location: Singapore

Employment Type: Contract (1 Year + 1 Year Extension Opportunity)

About the Opportunity

We are partnering with a global technology leader to find a Network Infrastructure Engineer focused on hands-on implementation, deployment, and operational support of enterprise network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and deploy network infrastructure components (routers, switches, firewalls) across enterprise environments
• Configure, maintain, and upgrade LAN/WAN networks to meet project objectives
• Support the rollout of network migrations, expansions, and infrastructure changes
• Provide day-to-day operational support for Linux servers connected to the network
• Perform troubleshooting and detailed root cause analysis for network and Linux issues
• Conduct performance monitoring, proactive maintenance, and optimization activities
• Maintain comprehensive documentation on deployments, configurations, and support processes
• Collaborate closely with internal teams and vendors to ensure smooth project deliveries

Required Skills and Experience

• Strong, proven hands-on experience in routing and switching (preferably Cisco technologies)
• Solid understanding of network protocols (BGP, OSPF, VLANs, STP, VPNs)
• Practical experience in Linux system administration (Red Hat, Ubuntu, or CentOS)
• Strong experience in deploying and supporting enterprise-grade networks
• Proficiency in using network troubleshooting tools (Wireshark, NetFlow, SNMP)
• Skilled in managing device configurations, upgrades, and patch management
• Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Cisco certifications (CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent)
• Experience supporting large-scale enterprise infrastructure deployments
• Exposure to network automation (e.g., Ansible, Python)
• Familiarity with cloud networking platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
