Senior DevOps Engineer

We are seeking an experienced and innovative Senior DevOps Engineer with expertise in Azure, Terraform, and solution architecture to join our client’s team. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of commercial experience in infrastructure solutions design, implementation and support. The ideal candidate will have at least one production project experience and a strong ability to design and implement infrastructure solutions. This role requires someone who can consult on DevOps processes, design scalable architectures, and drive best practices in cloud environments.

This project involves pricing assets under the company's management. It utilizes machine-learning models that operate on data ingested from third-party APIs. The process includes ELT (extract, load, transform), data modeling in SQL, training ML models, running predictions, and storing predictions back in a SQL database (MSSQL on Azure). Users interact with the data using Power BI.

Must Have

4+ years of experience in DevOps or Cloud Engineering.
Strong hands-on experience with Azure services and infrastructure management.
Expertise in Terraform for infrastructure as code (IaC), including designing modular and reusable solutions.
Experience working on at least one production project with Azure and Terraform.
Ability to provide solution architecture guidance, not just execution.
Strong consulting skills, with the ability to define and implement DevOps best practices.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and logging solutions.
Strong scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python, or PowerShell).
Experience working with managed services.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data engineering
Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.
Fluent communication

Nice to Have

Familiarity with Astronomer (managed Airflow service) is a plus.
Experience with security, compliance, and governance in cloud environments.
Understanding of AI/ML workloads and optimization strategies.
Ability to work independently and lead DevOps initiatives within a team.
