About The Role

You will be part of the team of engineers which builds Sygnum’s multi-region brokerage and custody solution.

As a member of the team, you will play a key role in developing our secure admin portal solution. This platform streamlines client portfolio and investment management, allowing internal users to efficiently handle client needs with the highest level of security. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with a diverse set of departments across both technology and business domains, making an essential contribution to Sygnum’s ongoing success.

• Actively participate in developing new features and improvements by writing and reviewing high-quality, secure code with comprehensive test coverage
• Constantly enhance the quality and security of applications, identifying existing technical debt and making plans to repay it
• Respond to production incidents promptly and efficiently, collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and restore service continuity
• Collaborate with platform engineers to enhance CI/CD pipelines and streamline release processes
• Collaborate with SRE engineers and solution architects to optimize application availability, resilience, and observability
• Nurture and guide more junior software engineers through coaching and mentoring
  
  

Our Ideal Candidate

• Minimum of 3 years of experience developing scalable backend services based on our tech-stack: Javascript running on AWS.
• You have a collaborative and growth mindset
• You care about quality and security and bake those aspects in the software development lifecycle
• You are comfortable taking ownership of the whole development lifecycle, from designing solutions to running the application in production
• You are proactive and get motivated with new opportunities and challenges
  
  

Few Things That Will Help On The Job

• Expertise in Typescript, ReactJS and NestJS
• Expertise in working with RDBMS (ideally Postgres)
• Previous experience in writing, testing and maintaining brokerage and custody system is a plus
• Designing flexible and robust REST APIs with an API first approach
• Understanding microservices, event driven architecture and being able to implement complex functionality with high quality and security
• Working knowledge of Docker and containerization
• Experience of working with Kubernetes is beneficial
• Experience of working with AWS is beneficial
