- Grow your career whilst shaping the future of digital signage
Invent. Refine. Save lives. Tech solutions that help loved ones get home safely.
Over 1,000 Australians are lost each year to road accidents. It’s a number that’s sadly increasing.
But what if you could help to change that for the better?
It’s time to join a company that’s all about innovation, giving you room to grow while driving new solutions. Think flexible hours, a 9-day fortnight, regular team events. And challenging work.
This is your chance to work with a business that’s been redefining the future of digital signage for over 60 years.
They're not just keeping up with technology—they're leading the charge. Established relationships with major clients and projects nationwide, this company is at the cutting edge of LED technology and smart infrastructure, and you could be too.
Find it hard to explain what you do to your friends? At HIVIS Group, you can point out your products wherever you are. If you see a road sign, chances are, it’s a HIVIS sign.
You know those digital displays that light up at schools, roadways, and stadiums? These guys were the first to do it. The flashing School Zone signs? Yep—HIVIS.
And now, they’re ready to step into a global market. What they need is someone who knows their way around PCB design, circuit development, and troubleshooting—someone like you.
One day you’ll be deep in new product design, the next you’ll be improving a suite of existing products. But you’ll always be chasing the next big breakthrough.
Welcome to the forefront of LED innovation.
About the Opportunity
You’ll have the chance to lead the design and integration of advanced LED systems that enhance smart signage and infrastructure.
One day, you'll be designing and integrating advanced LED systems for smart signage, the next, refining controller systems. Seamlessly combining technologies like radars, LED flashing lights, battery monitors, and cameras, you'll see your work come to life in real-world applications.
You’ll be at the heart of PCB design, circuit development, and troubleshooting, ensuring seamless integration of LED technology.
You’ll contribute to the full lifecycle, from concept and prototyping to final production—pushing the boundaries of what’s possible with power electronics, signal processing, and embedded systems.
If that’s not enough, your ideas and input will directly shape new innovations, with the freedom to test, experiment, and improve products every day.
HIVIS Group
This isn’t just a signage company. Or a tech company. Or a safety company. It’s an environment designed to help you become the most capable you. The best you.
For over 60 years, this local powerhouse has been transforming the safety and signage industry with cutting-edge LED systems—and they’re expanding.
Working on high-impact projects across government contracts and smart infrastructure, they’re leading the way in creating the future of digital signage. Committed to advancing smart LED technology, and constantly innovating to deliver the best in sustainable, durable systems.
If you have a passion for electronics, innovation, and improving lives—you’re in the right place. Because everyone you’ll work with has that same passion.
Reporting to the LED product manager, you will be working directly with a close-knit team of 6- with a wider business of 75.
About You
You’re a seasoned Electronics Engineer with a strong background in PCB design, particularly with Altium 365.
With at least 5 years of hands-on experience, you’ve honed your skills in designing and testing robust electronic systems. If you have experience with PCB design and circuit testing, you’ll thrive here.
Altium is your secret sauce, you also bring a background in embedded systems, LED integration, or power electronics.
Understanding signal processing and microcontroller programming?
Even better.
Outside of this you will also bring:
- Strong experience with Altium 365 (or similar), with hands-on testing, debugging, and designing PCB layouts.
- Knowledge of embedded systems (C, C++, Python) and hardware-software integration, including communication protocols (SPI, I2C, UART) and debugging using JTAG.
- Experience with IoT field technologies, including modems (NB-IoT/CAT-M1), Lora WAN, and Bluetooth, alongside ultra-low power and battery-powered device designs.
- Skills in signal processing, power electronics, and ensuring compliance with electronics standards.
