Java Developer – Stockholm (50% Hybrid)

Join a well-established company in the automotive sector that is currently modernizing its core digital systems. This is a high-impact role focused on evolving and maintaining the company’s primary backend platform, including user authentication and internal databases.

What you’ll be doing:

• Maintain and modernize a legacy Java system used by thousands of daily users
• Develop and enhance the core backend features, including login and database operations
• Collaborate with a freelance team currently owning most of the codebase, while growing in-house capabilities
• Work in a hybrid infrastructure environment (on-premises, Azure cloud, SQL)
• Share knowledge and contribute to long-term stability and in-house competence

What we're looking for:

• Strong Java experience (legacy and modern versions)
• Solid understanding of SQL and database-driven applications
• Familiarity with Azure or hybrid cloud environments
• Experience maintaining existing systems and building new features
• Fluent in Swedish
