Salary: 1000 - 1300 PLN/day on B2B

Work model: elastic hybrid from Gdynia / Gdańsk / Warszawa / Łódź (at least 2 days per week from the office)

Project

Migration of mid-scale java project from old technological stack based on Oracle JDK7 and WebLogic 10 to new cloud based environment. Work in international team with stakeholders from Nordics and India.

Responsibilities You'll Have

• Lead the migration of a mid-scale Java application from a legacy technology stack (Oracle JDK 7, WebLogic 10) to a modern, cloud-based environment
• Analyze existing code and infrastructure to identify migration paths, dependencies, and potential risks
• Collaborate with international stakeholders from Nordic countries and India, ensuring clear communication and alignment on project goals and timelines
• Provide technical expertise and guidance on differences between Oracle JDK 7, OpenJDK 8, and OpenJDK 17, ensuring compatibility and performance optimization in the new stack
• Configure, deploy, and troubleshoot Java applications in Oracle WebLogic as part of the legacy system transition
• Apply best practices in testing, using a variety of tools and techniques to ensure code quality and stability throughout the migration process.
• Participate in code reviews, mentor junior developers, and contribute to technical documentation
• Ensure scalability, maintainability, and security of the migrated application in the new environment
  
  

Expected competences and knowledge

• Strong knowledge of Java with in-depth knowledge of differences between legacy Oracle JDK7 and OpenJDK 8 and 17
• Experience with migration of mid-scale java projects to new technology stack
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience configuring and troubleshooting application in Oracle Weblogic
• A wide variety of testing tools and techniques
