We’re looking for a Head of Product Design to lead and scale our product design team, driving the vision, strategy, and execution of our product experiences. This role requires a strong design leader with a user-first mindset, capable of balancing business goals, design excellence, and team growth. You will work closely with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to craft intuitive and impactful user experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define & Drive Design Strategy
    • Establish and communicate a clear design vision that aligns with business objectives and user needs.
    • Develop and maintain brand guidelines to ensure a cohesive and consistent product experience.
  • Lead & Grow the Design Team
    • Hire, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of product designers, UX researchers, and design strategists.
    • Provide coaching, guidance, and professional development opportunities to foster a culture of learning and growth.
  • Manage the Design System & Brand Guidelines
    • Oversee the creation, evolution, and maintenance of a robust design system to ensure consistency and scalability across products.
    • Enforce brand guidelines and ensure design elements are consistent, accessible, and aligned with Snoonu’s identity.
  • Champion User-Centered Design
    • Advocate for research-driven, accessible, and inclusive design principles.
    • Leverage user feedback, data insights, and A/B testing to inform and iterate on design solutions.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Work closely with product managers, engineers, and executives to integrate design seamlessly into the product development process.
    • Balance business requirements, technical constraints, and user needs to deliver high-quality product experiences.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making
    • Use qualitative and quantitative user research methodologies to validate assumptions and refine designs.
    • Translate insights into actionable improvements that enhance the user experience and drive key metrics.
  • Stakeholder Communication
    • Present design rationale, strategy, and impact to senior leadership and other stakeholders.
    • Influence product roadmaps and priorities through compelling storytelling and evidence-based design recommendations.
Requirements

  • Experience: 8+ years in product design, with at least 3+ years in a leadership role.
  • Portfolio: A strong portfolio showcasing user-centric designs, strategic thinking, and measurable impact.
  • Leadership: Proven ability to mentor, coach, and scale design teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Deep expertise in UI/UX, interaction design, and prototyping tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe Suite).
    • Familiarity with front-end technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, React) is a plus.
  • Research & Testing: Experience with qualitative and quantitative user research methodologies.
  • Agility: Comfortable working in Agile/Scrum environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Communication: Strong ability to articulate design decisions, align stakeholders, and influence at all levels.
Nice-to-Have

  • Industry Experience: Exposure to eCommerce, on-demand delivery, or similar tech-driven products.
  • Accessibility Knowledge: Familiarity with WCAG guidelines and inclusive design best practices.
