Title: Network Support Engineer (HPE Aruba and Dell Switches)

Job Description:

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Network Subject Matter Expert (SME) to manage and support HPE Aruba and Dell Switches environments. The ideal candidate will have 8-10 years of experience in providing operational support, troubleshooting, and maintenance of network infrastructure, with a strong focus on HPE Aruba and Dell Technologies.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Expertise: Serve as the primary expert for HPE Aruba and Dell Switches technologies, providing advanced technical support and guidance.
  • Operational Support: Provide day-to-day operational support for HPE Aruba and Dell Switches environments, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex issues related to HPE Aruba and Dell Switches, including performance bottlenecks, connectivity problems, and configuration errors.
  • System Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance tasks, including patching, upgrades, and backups, to ensure the stability and security of the network environments.
  • Deployment: Manage the deployment of network policies and updates, ensuring minimal disruption to services.
  • Monitoring: Monitor system performance and health, using tools to identify and address potential issues proactively.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, operational procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with network, security, and IT teams to support network lifecycle management and ensure seamless integration.
  • Compliance: Ensure that network environments comply with organizational policies and industry standards.
  • Incident Management: Lead incident management efforts, including root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Capacity Planning: Conduct capacity planning to ensure the network environments can handle current and future workloads efficiently.
  • Disaster Recovery: Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans for network environments, ensuring business continuity in case of system failures.
  • Performance Tuning: Perform performance tuning and optimization of network applications and infrastructure to enhance system efficiency.
  • Security Management: Implement and manage security measures to protect network environments from vulnerabilities and threats.
  • Training and Mentoring: Provide training and mentoring to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.


Qualifications:


  • Experience: 8-10 years of experience in supporting HPE Aruba and Dell Switches environments.


Technical Skills:


  • HPE Aruba:
  • Strong knowledge of HPE Aruba networking products, including Aruba switches, access points, and controllers.
  • Proficiency in configuring and managing Aruba environments, including ArubaOS, ClearPass, and AirWave
  • Experience with Aruba Central for cloud-based network management and monitoring
  • Familiarity with network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, SNMP) and security protocols (e.g., SSL/TLS).
  • Knowledge of Aruba monitoring and performance tuning tools (e.g., Aruba NetEdit, Aruba Network Analytics Engine).
  • Dell Switches:
  • Strong knowledge of Dell Networking switches, including PowerSwitch and X-Series
  • Proficiency in configuring and managing Dell Switches environments, including VLANs, STP, and Link Aggregation
  • Experience with Dell Networking OS and SmartFabric Services for automated network management
  • Familiarity with network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and security protocols (e.g., IPsec, SSL/TLS).
  • Knowledge of Dell monitoring and performance tuning tools (e.g., Dell OpenManage Network Manager, Dell EMC Networking).
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.


  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.


  • Certifications: Relevant certifications in HPE Aruba and Dell technologies (e.g., Aruba Certified Mobility Expert, Dell EMC Networking Professional) are a plus.


  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with IT teams, vendors, and end-users.
