Technical Project Manager (Change Management)

About The Role

We're seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to own and optimize our central change management process. In this individual contributor role, you'll oversee critical change management changes across the organization while continuously improving the process itself. This position offers significant growth opportunities as you demonstrate your impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end change management process, ensuring all modifications follow established protocols
• Coordinate cross-functional implementation of engineering changes with minimal disruption
• Track and report on change metrics, identifying bottlenecks and improvement opportunities
• Develop and maintain change management documentation and training materials
• Lead change control board meetings, facilitating decision-making among stakeholders
• Implement best practices and new methodologies to enhance the change management process
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, QA, and other teams to ensure smooth change execution
• Mentor junior team members on change management principles and practices
  
  

Qualifications

Must haves:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
• 3+ years of experience in software engineering project management, with demonstrated change management expertise
• Strong understanding of software engineering processes and product development lifecycles
• Strong knowledge of JIRA configuration management
• Experience with change management tools and methodologies (ITIL, CMMI, etc.)
• Excellent documentation and communication skills
• Proven ability to drive continuous improvement in processes
• Strong organization and prioritization capabilities
• Experience with risk assessment and mitigation strategies

• PMP, CAPM, or change management certification
• Experience working in regulated industries (medical, finance, aerospace, etc.)
• Knowledge of Agile and DevOps methodologies
• Familiarity with configuration management tools and practices
• Experience leading process transformation initiatives
