As a Principal Data Scientist at Crayon's Data & AI Centre of Excellence you will work directly with customers to develop and implement transformative GenAI and NLP solutions. You’ will provide mentorship to data scientists, helping scale our impact through strong delivery frameworks and best practices.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Collaboration with account teams and solution architects to identify AI/GenAI opportunities
• Defining and guidance of AI strategies for enterprise clients, translating business objectives into actionable roadmaps for language technology and GenAI adoption, ensuring alignment with cloud capabilities, data maturity, and long-term value
• Support of proposal creation, pitching innovative GenAI/NLP solutions, and leading technical conversations with clients
• Conducting discovery workshops and designing sessions to align AI strategies with business goals
• Defining the data requirements and conducting exploratory data analysis for developing AI models
• Writing a production-grade Python code for deploying the developed AI models together with our engineering team

Your Competencies:

• 7+ years of experience in applied Data Science, specifically Language Technologies (e.g., NLP, LLMs, GenAI)
• Solid practical experience with common machine learning frameworks and libraries, including scikit-learn, PyTorch, and Hugging Face
• Proficiency in Python
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms for Data & AI workloads, preferably Azure (e.g., Azure ML, Cognitive Services, etc.) AWS and GCP will be advantageous

Minimum salary for Austria, which is according to our collective bargaining agreement trade, € 2.392,00 gross salary per month. However, we will offer you a competitive compensation package aligned with your skills and experience.
