My client is seeking a Cybersecurity Consultant to help in assessing, building, and continuously improving their security maturity.
In this role, you'll advise on strengthening their security posture through practical, risk-based strategies aligned with leading frameworks. Whether it’s defining a roadmap, guiding policy development, or implementing security controls, your work will drive real, measurable progress in cybersecurity resilience.
As a Cybersecurity Consultant, you will:
- Perform in-depth risk and vulnerability assessments (NIST, ISO 27001, CIS20, etc.)
- Advise clients on regulatory and compliance needs (e.g. GDPR, NIS2, DORA, ISO 27001)
- Conduct technical audits, penetration testing, and red teaming (optional, based on expertise)
- Design and implement information security management systems (ISMS)
- Assist in the development of business continuity plans and incident response playbooks
- Deliver clear documentation and present security findings to C-level and technical audiences
What You Bring
- Minimum 3–5 years in cybersecurity consulting or similar role
- High-level experience with implementing ISMS and familiarity with ISO27001
- Strong knowledge of network security, cloud environments (Azure/AWS), and endpoint protection
- Experience with security tools such as Tenable, Qualys, Splunk, CrowdStrike, Palo Alto, Fortinet
- Understanding of security frameworks and regulations relevant in Belgium and the EU
- Relevant certifications (e.g. CISSP, CISM, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer/Auditor, CEH, OSCP)
