The EIB, the European Union's bank, is seeking to recruit for its Human Resources Directorate (HR) – Talent & Culture Department (T&C) – Talent Development & Culture Division (TD&C), at its headquarters in Luxembourg: TRAINEE

Duration: 5 months (fixed start date: 1st September/October 2025)

(With possible extension up to 6 months if required by University)

Please note that you are requested to limit your applications to a maximum of three traineeship publications. We will only consider and retain the first three applications submitted.

Objective of the traineeship

Support Talent Development & Culture Division (TD&C) perform part of the targeted Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) and survey follow-up actions in Q4 2025 to reinforce the inclusive and respective culture and HR processes, including e.g. the organisation of the "How we work together" week in October 2025 and the disability week in December 2025.

Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Head of Division and senior colleagues, you will actively participate in the Division's core activities. Your main tasks will be:

  • Help designing, organising, communicating and supporting the "How we work together" week in October 2025
  • Help designing, organising, communicating and supporting the disability week in December 2025
  • Conduct research on DEI and workplace culture trends related to the DEI approach and outcome of the staff survey
  • Help putting together the action plan 2026 to further the DEI and cultural implementation
  • Provide ad hoc research, reporting, organisational support the culture and DEI officers

Academic Qualifications And Professional Skills

  • Final year of studies or University degree in Human sciences or Communication
  • Genuine interest for human resources and cultural matters
  • Exposure to collaborative project work Ability to contribute to quantitative and narrative reporting
  • Excellent knowledge of standard Microsoft Office 365 tools (in particular Teams, Copilot, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English. Knowledge of other EU language would be an advantage.
