DevOps Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer with a strong background in DevOps or Development to work on Capital Market projects for a leading bank. The ideal candidate should have experience in deployments, ensuring system reliability, scalability, and performance.

Mandatory Skill-set:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in relevant DevOps or Development practices;
• Must have experience in Object Oriented Languages such as Java, .Net;
• Strong knowledge of UNIX, SQL, Oracle, and Sybase;
• Must have experience in scripting languages such as Python, Shell, PowerShell;
• Must have exposure to DevOps tools such as GitLab, Jenkins, Ansible, CI/CD pipelines, and other tools like Control-M, Kafka, MQ, Confluence, Jira, Selenium, and Cucumber;
• Hands-on with Docker/Kubernetes and cloud platforms;
• Good domain knowledge in Treasury/ Fixed Income/ Trading applications, financial products such as FX, Credit, and Bonds;

Desired Skill-set:

• Experience in testing automation tools and frameworks such as JUnit, TestNG, Selenium;

Responsibilities:

• Deploy essential tools to support environment, continuous integration and delivery workflows, and process execution;
• Oversee and administer environments across all stages - from integration to production;
• Support collaboration between software development team and infrastructure teams and design, build, and validate code with CI/CD framework;
• Monitor system performance, resolve issues, and ensure security and compliance;
• Carry out maintenance tasks and provide level 3 support as and when needed;
• Maintain and follow documentation to ensure processes are properly adhered;
• Apply preventive strategies to improve system stability and efficiency;
• Stay current with the latest DevOps tools and technologies.
