UX Design Contractor – up to £400 Day Rate | Outside IR35 | 3-Month Contract (Immediate Start)
We’re currently looking for a talented UX Design Contractor to support our UX team in delivering user-centred, engaging designs across our award-winning digital platforms.
This is a day rate contract opportunity for an initial 3-month term, with the potential to extend. The role is outside of IR35 and we’re looking for someone who can hit the ground running – immediate availability is preferred.
About The Role
You’ll be working closely with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into intuitive, delightful digital experiences. Your day-to-day will involve:
- Leading design projects from discovery through to implementation
- Creating wireframes and interactive prototypes to communicate design ideas and test concepts
- Collaborating with developers to ensure design intent is implemented accurately and efficiently
- Managing iterative design cycles, using data and user feedback to refine solutions
- Contributing to and maintaining design systems and component libraries
- Conducting user research and usability testing to inform design decisions
- Working within multi-disciplinary teams, including developers, content strategists, and marketers
- Engaging stakeholders and communicating design rationale clearly
- Championing UX across the business, proactively finding ways to share our work and thinking (e.g. blog posts, workshops)
- Supporting junior team members and offering guidance where needed
- Proven experience in UX design roles
- Strong prototyping and design skills using tools like Figma, Adobe XD, etc.
- Deep understanding of user-centred design principles
- A good eye for visual design and attention to detail
- Solid understanding of accessibility standards
- Awareness of current UX/UI trends
- Creative, curious, and always keen to learn
- Self-motivated with strong problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment
