Senior Product Designer (UX/UI) – Digital Innovation

At KONE Technology and Innovation (KTI), we’re shaping the future of urban movement by combining the physical world (elevators, escalators) with the digital one. Our Digital Innovation Team works like a startup inside KONE: fast, hands-on, and grounded in real user problems. We build solutions from scratch, taking ideas from early concept to pilot and global scale.

You’ll be part of a cross-functional team where designers, developers, and product thinkers work closely together without silos. We experiment quickly, validate ideas with real users, and focus on creating meaningful impact. Our work contributes directly to KONE’s key strategies to accelerate our digital transformation.

We’re looking for a hands-on designer who can confidently and proactively work across UX, UI, and product thinking. If you enjoy shaping ideas from concept to high-fidelity prototype and collaborating closely with developers and business stakeholders to create real impact, this role is for you.

We typically work 3 days per week in the Espoo office in Finland to collaborate, sketch, and test ideas together. The rest of the time, you can work remotely depending on what suits you and your projects.

In this role, you will

• Lead early-stage concept development and shape the product vision
• Design and prototype intuitive user interfaces
• Validate ideas with users, customers, and, business stakeholders in real-world
• Work closely with developers to ensure feasibility and scalability
• Prioritize solutions by balancing user needs with business and technical input
• Ensure consistent design language and usability across services
  
  

What We’re Looking For

• Several years of hands-on experience in UX and UI design
• Proficiency in Figma for prototyping and communicating design ideas
• Experience in early-stage product discovery and testing
• Ability to turn insights into tangible design concepts and deliver production ready design
• Solid understanding of software architecture, APIs, data flows, and technical feasibility: You know how modern digital solutions are built.
• Fluent English communication with both design and tech collaborators
• Bonus: experience in service design, product ownership, or B2B digital platforms
