We are now looking for a
Researcher, Applied Artificial Intelligence
to strengthen our R&D competencies. The contract of employment shall be valid from September 1, 2025 (or as agreed) until further notice.
The researcher will be capable of conducting independent research within his/her competence area according to Haaga-Helia UAS' strategy and his/her individually agreed targets and objectives. The researcher will actively work and network with domestic as well as international partners to initiate new research projects and is able to seek and secure additional funding. Publishing insights and research results in both academic and non-academic channels is naturally an integral part of the job. Other responsibilities include cooperation with degree programs and contributing towards the continuous development of the educational curricula.
You will conduct research in a multidisciplinary research group, where R&D projects are focused around business digitalization, data science and applied artificial intelligence for business and education.
We require:
- competence in the application of algorithms and some artificial intelligence techniques
- doctoral degree or scientific postgraduate studies in the final stages
- research expertise in computer science or one of the fields mentioned above
- self-direction, initiative and good organizational and project management skills
- good presentation and communication skills, including evidence of previous publishing activities
- cooperation skills and a strong desire to work together
- good (oral and written) English language skills
Experience in business environments and competence in data analytics and programming, are regarded as an asset. Existing and relevant company connections, networks and international experience, as well as evidence of expertise in various EU or national financial instruments for research funding, are also considered an advantage. A working knowledge of Finnish language is a merit.
