Sr Developer Architect (Databricks)

You Can Expect To

Lead in designing, specifying and selecting information system solutions, considering functionality, data, security, integration and performance on Azure components like Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks from offshore
Develop and code using Python/Scala in Azure Databricks, automate using spark jobs, implement auto-scaling/auto-termination, securities etc.
Be responsible to deliver design document on data ingestion mechanism, data persistence method, data processing and data security
Prepare the design artifacts and implement integrations
Participate in design/code reviews and ensure that all solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications
Create detailed technical design documents
Detect, analyze and remediate performance problems and other technical challenges
Optimize development through solution accelerators & value creators
Also have an additional roles of Team lead (depending on experience):
Accountable for deliverables
Provide technical leadership to the development team in preparing the design artifacts and implementation of integrations
Oversee the code development, guide and mentor the developers during coding and testing
Monitor the progress of all the assigned work items and re-prioritize based on project needs
Coordination with Change Control board for code deployment, access control, release management

We Expect You To

Have strong experience with Databricks SQL, Databricks Workflows
Have experience with CICD pipeline for data workflows
Be proficient in programming languages such as Python, PySpark, Scala, or SQL
Have expertise in Databricks platform, Spark, and Delta Lake
Be proficient in PySpark for developing and optimizing data applications
Have a solid understanding of asset management operations and related data requirements
Have knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS or Azure as it would be considered as an advantage
Have hands on experience in developing and optimizing ETL pipelines for structure, semi-structure, and unstructured data
Have experience with monitoring and optimizing Databricks performance to ensure efficient resource utilization
Have excellent problem-solving and analytical skills as well as strong communication and collaboration abilities
Have a proactive and self-motivated approach to work
Have an ability to work effectively in a hybrid work model as well as manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
Have a strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
Have good English (spoken and written) in order to effectively participate in communication within Global team
