SENIOR PHP API INTEGRATION ENGINEER

Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Senior PHP API Integration Engineer for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Romania. Our client is a fintech company based in Austin, Texas, that specializes in providing embedded credit infrastructure for the fintech, lending, and software industries. The company offers a credit decision engine, an embedded credit operating system, and a marketplace for lenders designed to facilitate the integration and launch of credit products within various ecosystems. An innovative platform that connects small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) with suitable lenders, streamlining the borrowing process through advanced technology and data analytics. The cutting-edge platform is powered by artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning algorithms that leverage data from various sources, including financial records, transaction history, and industry trends, to assess the creditworthiness and risk profile of SMBs accurately. Analyzing this data, the solution matches businesses with a network of lenders, ranging from traditional banks to alternative financing providers, ensuring they receive competitive offers tailored to their specific requirements.

Requirements

5+ years (ideally 7+) of advanced experience with PHP, including testing and scaling Laravel-based API integrations.
Strong knowledge of Aurora or MySQL in high-performance production environments.
Extensive knowledge of RESTful API optimization and testing suites (e.g., PHPUnit, Pest).
Solid experience with Git, CI/CD, and AWS architectures.
Understanding of incorporating GenAI and adapting to tools like OpenSearch or Redis.
Excellent English communication skills for remote collaboration (UTC±3).

Responsibilities

Test and scale API integrations using Laravel and Aurora for enterprise-grade reliability.
Onboard new third-party APIs, optimizing performance and stability.
Integrate GenAI and explore OpenSearch, Milvus, Redis, and S3 to enhance workflows.
Build alongside existing frameworks with secure, production-ready code.
