You Are

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior UI Developer. As a Senior UI Developer, you will be responsible for designing and developing responsive, user-friendly web interfaces using cutting-edge technologies. You will play a key role in building high-quality front-end applications with a focus on performance, scalability, and usability. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and mentor junior developers to deliver top-notch user interfaces for a variety of web applications.

The Opportunity

• Lead the development of responsive and interactive web applications using Angular, ReactJS, NodeJS, HTML, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Implement front-end designs and user interfaces with a focus on user experience, performance, and accessibility.
• Collaborate with design, product, and back-end teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of web solutions.
• Build reusable, maintainable, and modular code that adheres to best practices and coding standards.
• Participate in sprint ceremonies including planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Implement responsive design principles, ensuring a consistent user experience across multiple devices and screen sizes.
• Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability while maintaining a smooth, responsive user interface.
• Mentor junior developers, providing guidance on development best practices, coding standards, and problem-solving techniques.
• Review and enforce coding standards, ensuring high-quality, clean, and maintainable code.
• Write unit and integration tests to maintain a high level of application quality and reliability.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, staying up-to-date with the latest UI/UX trends and technologies.
• Actively participate in the review and estimation of new features or enhancements during sprint planning sessions.
  
  

This position description identifies the responsibilities and tasks typically associated with the performance of the position. Other relevant essential functions may be required.

What You Need

• Strong understanding of UI principles and responsive web design.
• Experience working with RESTful APIs and integrating front-end with back-end services.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and sprint ceremonies.
• In-depth knowledge of front-end development best practices, code splitting, bundling, and performance optimization.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams (designers, back-end developers, product managers) in an agile environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and find effective solutions.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience: Minimum of 7-8 years of professional experience in UI development
• Technologies:
• Frameworks: Angular, NodeJS
• Web Technologies: HTML5, CSS3, Responsive Web Design
• Scripting Languages: JavaScript, TypeScript, ReactJS
• Version Control: Git

Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below.

Role Location: Ontario

Compensation Range: $89,000-$109,000

Benefits

Full-time, regular employees accrue a minimum of 10 days of paid vacation per year, receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year), paid holidays, and are eligible for paid bereavement leave and jury duty. They and their dependents residing in Canada are eligible for Supplemental Healthcare coverage, as well as Company-paid Employee Only basic life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment coverage.

Full-time temporary employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year). They and their dependents residing in Canada are eligible for Supplemental Healthcare coverage, as well as Company-paid Employee Only basic life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment coverage.

Part-time regular and temporary employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year).

All Canadian employees who work in a province, territory or locality with more generous paid sick leave benefits than specified here will receive the benefit of those sick leave laws.
