Located in our Melbourne or Sydney office, our Engineering team are looking for a Senior Ai (Full stack) Developer to join the team on a permanent, full time basis. Our Data and Technology team consists of Engineers, Innovation Develoeprs, Product and Experience Designers and Delivery Leads who are responsible for the successful execution and delivery of our clients’ projects and our internal suite of Plus Also Studios products.

The Role

As a Senior Innovation / Ai Developer at Howatson+Company, you will play a crucial role in designing and building LLM workflows for our products that directly play a part in Engineering our clients' ecommerce and digital ecosystem.

A Day in the Life

• Write code.
• Design architecture.
• Collaborate with Product, Design and other cross-functional teams.
• Experiment with new technologies and new Ai tools.
• Deliver a variety of Ai models.
• Have an eye for Design and able to work closely with designers on image and/or video generation.

How will we know you are the one?

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Fullstack Developer who can code in a variety of different languages but ideally Python and TypeScript.
• Creative technology experiences (as the role is not traditional web / mobile app engineering but highly creative), experience (commercial or hobby) working on either one of the following technologies would demonstrate that: WebGL or WebXR/WebVR
• Experiences (commercial or hobby) with Image or Video generation using either diffusion or auto regression technique
• Experiences with LLMs (either a closed source LLM such as those from OpenAI, Google, Anthropic, or preferably, open sourced and local running LLM such as DeepSeek, Qwen, etc)
• Programming languages: Python and TypeScript
• Strong experience working in a UNIX-like operating system environment such as macOS / Linux is a must
