We are seeking a talented and experienced Network Optimization Engineer to join our Customer Services team. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the optimal performance of our customer's communication networks. You will be responsible for analyzing network performance, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing solutions to enhance network efficiency and user experience.
How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn
As part of our team, you will:
- Participate in Nokia's NPI across Europe from NPO's side.
- Act as a main point of contact for all technical queries and liaise with Nokia’s R&D in case of in-depth product related support.
- Lead and deliver customer’s technical workshops regarding 5G, and the newest technologies “Network slicing, O-RAN, C-RAN...etc.”
- Validate the performance of the newest RAN SW in lab & customer’s network.
- Design, test and assess the performance of Nokia's latest 5G features for our customers.
- Be in contact with our product line teams for the latest release notes, corrections and algorithms change.
- Mentor and guide Nokia’s remote global delivery support team members to ensure quality & on time delivery.
- Share knowledge and best practice with other NPO team members across Europe & globally.
- Performs critical (sometimes escalated) design and performance activities in customer projects independently (complex problem solving in projects and multi-vendor environments).
- Develops/reviews and makes recommendations on network-wide design covering performance, spectrum & capacity supported by recommendations (within and across the region).
- Organizes field measurements, plan and implement test cases in the lab.
- Performs network audits to identify network faults and parameters inconsistency.
- Optimizes networks with all components based on traffic trends and customer forecasts. Supports in developing network configuration file and interface analysis.
- Act as a main point of contact for all technical queries and liaise with Nokia’s R&D in case of in-depth product related support.
- Troubleshoot different RAN & E2E network logs and traces to locate the issue and propose a resolution.
You have:
- 10 years of experience in 4G/5G radio network planning and optimization activities.
- Expertise in Nokia 4G/5G SW & HW different releases Nokia’s RAN parameters, counters, KPIs and features.
- Experienced and knowledgeable with different 5G architectures “NSA, SA, cmW, mmW”, C-RAN/O-RAN is a plus.
- Excellent knowledge of 3GPP releases and protocols.
- Ability to lead all activities for network's maintenance and improvement of network KPI's
- In depth trouble-shooting capability for analysis of network statistics, KPIs, UE logs, eNB/gNB logs.
- Long term technical career objective in NPO domain.
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Problem-solving and decision-making expertise
- Results-oriented and customer-focused
- B.Sc. degree in Telecommunications or relevant departments
- Fluent in English, other languages are plus “French, German, Italian...etc.”
